External Use- Topicals

Herb ‘N Oil products are THC Free -we keep it clean! You don’t have to ever worry about dirty/positive drug tests, pesticides, heavy metals or other mycotoxins, and our products are even free of parabens, artificial colors and we only use natural flavors (for our tinctures). Our creams are aloe based, allowing better absorption of both CBD and the complementary terpenes, antioxidants & vitamins that make our topicals so effective, without clogging pores.

Unlike when taken internally, there are no medication interaction risks when using CBD topically since it doesn’t enter the body systemically. This is a HUGE blessing for those who are on necessary medications that also need relief from aches and pains in their muscles & joints. It is also a great option for those who are uncomfortable taking it internally while pregnant or breastfeeding. Taking CBD both topically and internally is ideal for those who are trying to manage conditions that affect the body both internally & externally (like arthritis, autoimmune conditions & fibromyalgia). Since many diseases and disorders are caused by inflammation and stress, including skin conditions and sleeping issues, many are adding CBD to their beauty routine with great success.

All of our topicals (creams & skincare products) are enhanced with essential oils, chosen for their specific terpene profiles to amplify the therapeutic benefits and improve the effectiveness by creating the entourage effect.

Each CBD cream has a slightly different ingredient list and scent profile. Due to the differences in therapeutic use of the complementary ingredients, they each hold their own benefits besides having anti-inflammatory & pain relieving properties. (ex: Air Cream has Magnesium, which is well known to reduce stress & muscle spasms)

Using CBD on sore muscles and joints can help support the body’s healing process by taking advantage of the anti-inflammatory benefits through the endocannabinoid receptors (CB2) in the skin for a variety of conditions including (but not limited to):

  • Arthritis
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Tendonitis
  • Whiplash
  • Sciatica
  • Headaches
  • Sprains & Strains

Things to Remember:

  • Massage a small amount onto sore muscles & joints or on the neck, shoulders & feet for stress and tension relief
  • A little bit goes a long way, but since there is no set “dosage”, try out varying amounts to see what works for you.
  • Reapply as needed for acute conditions- it usually only takes a few minutes to feel the benefits and typically lasts for 4-6 hrs for most people.
  • Keep out of eyes and mucous membranes, only Air Cream is safe to use on areas of broken skin, rashes, and sensitive skin. Use caution and discontinue use if irritation occurs with any products.
  • Due to the essential oil content, take a break for a day or two after using more than 5 days in a row so you don’t become desensitized to their powerful results

As you can see from the chart on the right, there can be some overlap between internal and external usage. For some conditions such as arthritis, psoriasis, and fibromyalgia, a combined approach seems to work best. Combat inflammation and other internal imbalances on the inside while caring for muscle, joint & skin conditions topically as well.

Internal Use- Tinctures
